About Shipping

 

We ship almost everything by USPS Ground Advantage Cubic or by Priority Mail Cubic, whichever is the least expensive option. Priority Mail is fast, but Ground Advantage is very close in delivery speed and always cheaper. We normally ship the least expensive way unless you are in a hurry and let us know. We do not add a penny for handling. We refund any overpayment on shipping as soon as the box is packed.  The software will calculate shipping for a flat rate box because it's simple, but we will use Ground Advantage Cubic because it is cheaper (now, by a lot).

First Class packages are no more. USPS Ground Advantage has replaced First Class, with a weight and distance calculation for packages up to 70 pounds. It's currently the most economical way to ship. This July's rate change greatly increased to cost of Priority Mail, so much so that a large flat rate box coast to coast costs $25 to ship. For up to 20 pounds, Ground Advantage costs $14.78. Unless you are in a real hurry and let us know, we'll use Ground Advantage.

We will use Priority Mail Cubic or Ground Advantage Cubic with Ground Advantage Cubic as our first choice, since this has usually the least expensive rates. Priority takes a day or two coast to coast. Ground Advantage takes 2-5 days. 
 
The new Cubic rates use three factors: weight, box dimensions and zip code and since the ability to assign the correct rate has not been automated, please click the “Combine Shipping” button in the cart if you are purchasing more than one item. You will receive an invoice with the correct shipping. 

For single items, the software will try, but it may overcharge slightly. We will refund any shipping overpayment as soon as the order is packed.  Neurons over chips any day.                                                                                             

Note! If you go straight to checkout with multiple items and don’t request an invoice by clicking on “Combine Shipping,” you may not pay the correct shipping. You will receive an invoice for any underpayment. We’ll refund any overpayment as soon as the box is packed.
